Root Best ICS ROM.

Hey, I didn't see any mention of the Miui ICS ROMs. Can anyone tell me the difference between the two versions currently available, if any? I just tried the Muiu v.4 and it seems pretty slick but Gmail keeps f/c on me so I don't know if it's worth it to try and figure out.

I've been so stable and happy on the Ginger Miui available I wasn't even aware that ICS was out for Dinc2. :-P

Edit: I've figured out that Miui ICS isn't really working properly on Dinc2...so now I'm trying ArcticICSed RC2. They claim everything is working so we'll see!
 
Just throwing this out there.

I am using the UKB Evolution 2.1 X as my daily driver. There are a couple minor aesthetic things that are sometimes annoying (Quick Launch displays all options at once instead of showing/hiding as you slide the notification drawer up and down; when transitioning windows, there is a pink outer highlighted ring) but overall, this is the first ICS ROM that I can actually use without major issues.

Thanks! I'm going to try your suggestion this morning. ArcticICSed is a little sluggish and there are some weird things happening during phone calls.

Have you any issues with the camera or Pandora playback?
Those are the two things that kept me from running it.

Are you running the new base version?

EDIT:
I don't think the new vers is out, so are you on the latest?

I do not use Pandora so I cannot comment on that.

I used the camera patch and it works great. I had a small issue with the video recorder not recording sound, but read in the UBK thread that disabling stereo recording will fix this particular issue. I did this and sounds records just fine. One thing to note is that these settings don't always stick. I find that about every 3-5 times I open the camera, I will have change these settings again.

As of ~8 CT this morning, the new base version was not yet released and his original comment said something about next week.

UKB - V 2.1 has been my dd for the last week and its been great, very responsive and smooth. Streaming Pandora and Rhapsody with no problems. Camera also good with the patch installed. Overall very happy with this ics rom.
 
Awww, I wish I had your luck. I've tried 3 ICS ROMs and not one of them has been stable or bug-free. It reminds me of the bad old days when I was trying to run CM 7 on my OG Droid.

So far I've experienced problems in calls, serious lagging, hanging at boot, settings not "sticking", messaging not opening or otherwise crashing, photo album widget not holding pic...I could go on. I did wipe everything before installing UKB.

I think I'm going to have to go back to Miui Gingerbread. :(

I was thinking that it might be a good idea anyway to just to make sure it's the ROM s that are causing the problems and not my "new" remanufactured phone.
