Root Best kernel for htc evo 4g???

I flashed the rom "gingerbread-evo-deck-1.2" it installed with a built in kernel.......i was wondering if this was the best kernel for my rom? I REALLY WANT A KERNEL THAT I CAN OVERCLOCK/UNDERCLOCK with SetCPU.....can i overclock/underclock with my current kernel?

I believe that you would need an AOSP kernel for that rom. You can check the change log for that rom to verify it. If so, I would go with a Tiamat kernel. I had awesome luck with them when running CM7 based roms. You can find them here

is the kernel i have right now an ASOP Kernel? and can i overclock and underclock with my Current Kernel??
