Best keyboard app?

Is there a keyboard that has a dedicated number row up top?

Not sure if it's for phones, too, but Hacker's Keyboard has it and we've got it on our Galaxy Tab.

the problem with the hacker keyboard is you have to back out of it on a phone to see what you typed.

is anyone using the thumb keyboard? I'm considering trying it. didn't care for swype :/
