Help best keyboard?

Well after looking at a few I reckon that I have found the one. Thumb keyboard by Beansoft- hugely customisable seems like it is written with a 10 inch tab in mind, very pretty and currently in the sale. Still new to me but looks to be excellent.

I've been using Swype. I have it on my Nexus S, and it's one of the first things I installed on my TPrime when I got it. Had some issues at first, but that was a month ago. Now that they have updated Swype to work with ICs, it works great.

I'm not thumb-typing, though, I'm either swiping with my finger or a stylus, or I am typing normally with the tablet on my lap or a table.

Swype has lots of cool functionality like directions keys, and keys for various edits as well as the usual keyboard layout.

+1 for the new ICS version of Swype. I'm really liking it a lot... I also like that you can resize the keyboard to a smaller square... very nice for more quickly swiping between keys on the larger tablet screen.

I use the thumb keyboard and love it. You can switch it to various modes to if needed on the fly to either a standard keyboard, condensed for right hand use, or split (thumb). I highly recommend it.

-1 for thumb keyboard here.

When active it screws the hardware keyboard when docked and forces it into US layout. No reply from support either!

-1 for support too..

Are you typing with your thumbs on your dock? It only makes sense that the keyboard layout would change to a standard layout when inserted into a standard layout dock. Now if you had a split dock I would understand your point...

No, you cannot use an onscreen keyboard when docked. As for the rest of your post I don't really understand what you are talking about Lostsorrow!

And don't you just hate apps that advertise themselves when you use them? :-) Knew a guy who was on Tiscalli ISP and even through everything was paid for at then end of every email he sent they would add advertising!! Rude! Surprisingly they don't exist anymore. :)

My friend has a dock using the thumb keyboard as well. When he undocks his tablet the thumb keyboard comes back just fine. not being to use the onscreen keyboard is a given if there is a physical keyboard in front of you in the dock. The last part was just sarcasm of having a split dock keyboard so you could type with your thumbs on a physical keyboard.

Swiftkey is our keyboard. I've been using the keyboard on my phone for almost 2 years now. My favorite thing about the keyboard is how the language module is saved to the sdcard. For a rooted user, like myself, it's a great keyboard.

I don't have a problem with thumb keyboard working, it is purely because when you have it active it turns the U.K hardware keyboard to a U.S layout which means the software is of no use to me as I loose important keys and as they do not reply to support requests they seem a pretty crap company.

Another vote here, and a big thumbs up for Swype ! I just finished downloading the Beta version from their website and then trying it out in both landscape and portrait modes...and it works perfectly! Here's the text I wrote in an email I sent to myself:

"This is a test of the Swype keyboard on my Asus Transformer Prime, and it's working perfectly! This is really nice! I'm very happy to now have this keyboard available on my Prime! Wow, this is really cool! I love it! All of this was typed with NO mistakes...first time. Wonderful! I'm impressed and very pleased. :-)))) ! "

I've been using Swype on my Galaxy S since I bought it and I've always loved it. Now I can also use it on my Prime....like I am now !
:-)))

Huge +1 for thumb keyboard. Custom layouts, key colors, font colors and themes.

Here is my latest keyboard. With custom key colors, sounds and theme . I tried to make the blue look like ICS blue.
