Most recommend Nova or Apex, since support goes on with Jelly Bean, however I like mine which I use on both my S3 and Nex7 called SPB Shell 3D. I like the 3D graphics and polish of the launcher. However, unlike with Nova or Apex, you can't alter the look of your icons and it is an expensive app (by Android standards).

My husband and I both use Go Launcher. We new to Android and find it to be very user friendly. A lot of features and so many themes. We also use Go SMS Pro for text/chat.

I still like best Nova Launcher, it might not have the same amount of features of GO Launcher, but the stock feel and smoothness of it have no equals. I don't quite get along with GO.

+1 for Go

I have tried Apex, Nova and Go. For me Go Launcher is the best by far. Some will say it is not a smooth as the others but for me it runs buttery smooth. I would say try them all and pick the one that works best for you.

I picked up Nova Launcher for 25 cents last month, but just got around to setting it up last week. I'm really liking it so far, but I haven't had a chance to really dig deep into everything it offers. Such is the life of a student...no time for play when midterms are going on :(

hi guys,

many thanks! just installed Apex an is just what i wanted - a launcher with decent features, like being able to quickly add widgets and shortcuts etc ...not like that awful touchwiz launcher :/ :D

cheers

Do any of the launchers let you change the default font color? I want to change the color of the font in the text beneath my icons. Does anyone know the best (and easiest) way to do that?

Go Launcher does (not sure there is much it doesn't do ;) )

Settings, preferences, visual, scroll at top to font, app label color

On a side note it will also allow you to change the size of your icons

Go Launcher is nice and easy...go locker is real nice too but buggy as ****

My go locker was buggy too until I did this

Settings, security and lock screen, screen lock (select none) that is the only way I could get go locker to work for me right.

I just switched from ADW (which I liked) to Nova Prime because it was only 25p in the sale and ADW didn't work on Jelly Bean.

The only thing it won't do that I'd like is change from green to JB blue the control buttons for wifi, gps, etc that appear when you pull down the notification bar.

Will any of the launchers (Go?) do that?

What do you all like about different launchers and/or not like about Touchwiz?

I tried a couple of them out yesterday but was a bit underwhelmed with not being able to use features I could use in touchwiz without paying for it.

Go is 100% free. No charges.

I like that I can theme it, have scrolling docks. Use gestures on each icon on the dock (swipe icon launches app x), hide dock, hide status bar, customise home screen grid, change transition effect...

That's about it for me but so used to these features, not having them is a deal breaker.
