Got the paid version and LOVE it! I also have a Cowon MP3 player that has Jet Audio. That's the main reason for getting the Android version.

"Picus Audio Player" on Google Play Store is really nice, catchy player for real music lovers. It provides clarity of sound with its audio effects. It has all features provided by other players like album art downloading, cross fading, gapless playback, folder browsing.

Its audio quality is really a big plus for me.

I like 'android Tom Player' for 3 reasons
1. Supports all media files
2. Easy way to add lyrics to an mp3 files
3. Simple yet elegant design

Wish I would have searched the forums before buying a couple of music players. I used to use Rocket Player but it has some issues with retaining Playlists on ICS. I have tried about 10 different apps and even paid for some to get the "advanced" features thinking that would improve them. After reading this thread... I tried Poweramp. In my opinion... the absolute best out there. I have uninstalled all the rest. Poweramp is the best... hands down (at least for me anyway).

Maybe not for everyone, but Poweramp works best for me too.
It's stability and features are second to none, IMHO.
