Best non draining battry widget?

No. I can't post a screen shot of it. It showed up once, then it disappeared the next time I went in. lol.
Magical.

 Explain...

How does something that is running constantly, not use any power...

Sorry to interrupt the conversation, but I am using the HTC battery Widget, and as a possible answer to your question, I have it on a secondary home screen, and as i swipe to it, the battery % updates at that moment. So i suspect it only uses power when it is active?

What we were discussing is that it doesn't show up in the Spare Parts app, there for it is not using any battery, ever... That's just cool, and weird. More weird than cool, I think.

;):D

Havent seen it show up in spare parts, but it was the only chage i had made and was noticing faster battery drain. Uninstalled it and it was back to "normal" again. So its just an assumption based on my observation.

you know what they say about assumptions

Hate to tell ya folks but if it measures the battery in anyway for any reason, it uses battery power, some apps more than others, but uses power none the less. Maybe a small amount or a large amount but it uses power.

I have tried just about every battery analyzer out there, they all use power, some even lag the swipe feature of the phone. Worst lag I found was from the app, Battery Left, I got off the Market. I didn't really realize just how much until I decided to remove it. Changed to Spare Parts for the information there instead.

Also, if total accuracy is not all that important to you Try,

Settings>About Phone>Status from the Home Page

That just shows a simple Fuel Gauge meter, nothing fancy.

GL Y'all

what im saying it that BatteryLife by curve fish is not a batt drain like people are saying yes every app uses batt power and the lag you speak of is a combination of diff programs not liking to work together some programs are like that depending on how the developer made that app or apps

ic, don't get me wrong there Champ, I wasn't disputing you or anyone in this thread, I was however voicing an opinion and an observation. Take it more as INFORMATION, not insult.

About lag, believe me I know what it is. I run online private game servers from my home. Been doing that for about 9 years now. Latest is World of Warcraft ver. 3.2.2a............

Have fun Mate........

Anyway, thx and have a great evening Mate. And NO, I'm not a Limey, just an old gamer..............:D

I use the vizBattery widget. I've never considered that it uses battery power, but if it does, it is barely noticeable. I get 18-30 hours of battery life, depending on usage. I suppose if I have a REALLY heavy usage day, it cuts it to around 12 hours. At any rate, it show percentage remaining and changes colors based on the level. I place the widget on my desktop.

I've found that the battery meter next to the time works pretty good. Sure it does not show % left but I'm smart enough to actually tell when the battery is low JUST BY LOOKING AT IT.

My phone came off the charger at 2pm Monday, it's Tuesday at 6:22am now and I'd say it's at right around 75%

GPS and Mobile Network on all the time
Dumped Handcent for the stock app
