Root Best ROM for a wifi-hotspot and battery life?

I'm willing to give gingerbread a spin again.

I'm using TWRP recovery, so I'll probably need to replace it too...

Backside rom is old and has no support. Right now the MiRaGe rom is the best gingerbread rom for our phone, very fast and stable, you will need the 20110828 gapps. Everything you need is in the all things root guide sticky. Also ... under Tweaks in the guide, the Fly-On mod works really well with MiRaGe, it has some tweaks for better performance, better 3g and overall buttery smoothness. If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask

EDIT : I'm pretty sure twrp recovery will work with MiRaGe.
