Root Best ROM for Performance/Speed?

So i know there's probably a lot of threads asking for the best ROM, but I don't want the best ROM, i want the best performing ROM, It can look like crap for all i care, i just want my triumph to be simple and fast! Anyways leave your sugestions please, I am currently running cm7 3-25-12 release.

Try MIUI GB with SD Kernel or mOCk kernel(try both see which one you like) or bROM(I heard bROM got faster)...
 
Any froyo based ROM is what you want. I couldn't get bROM to work on my phone. Every time I tried it would boot up and everything would constantly FC over and over, including the setup wizard. I'm using Minimal Triumph right now and it's incredibly speedy. I'd recommend it.
 
So are the GingerBread based roms faster or slower then Froyo based roms? thanks for the quick responds, just joined and already liking the forum !!!

There isn't a huge difference, but I notice that Froyo is a bit smoother. There also are more working features like HDMI.

MIUI can be laggy at times, but with austries SDKernel it get pretty fast. CM7 is fast also.

then you got froyo roms that are just as fast if not faster like bROM, Minimal Triumph, Froyocream Sandwich, etc (froyo roms also have working HDMI)

Glad you like Minimal Triumph! :D it was my favorite rom that me and mobstergunz made :)
 
Alright thanks guys, i think im gonna try minimal triumph, since i love how simple it is! maybe then brom.
EDIT: is 1.0.7 of minimal triumph stable enough to use everyday?

I'd say no stick with v1.0 and change the VM Heap to 42 it will fly lol
 
VM heap? haha to noob over here to know what that is, should i do the 1.0.5 update. I just love the look of it freaking great!

The reason Froyo is smoother in certain areas is because our GB ROMs aren't fully made from source because Motorola didn't give us all of the source for the MT; we had to fight them just for the camera source or else we would've never got camera working in GB. Since we don't have all of the source, we kinda lag in the gaming department...

try manually adding a google account by going to "settings/accounts" then add a google account.


but try a reboot first...

then if neither works, re flash and do a full wipe before flashing

Ah makes sense, so cm9 or any ICS build will most likely be laggy to huh?

your kernel does help gaming alot though on miui! :)

I flashed gapps maybe thats why does your rom already have them? i was following minus5252 guide.

he mistaked that for a gb rom. you dont have to flash gapps on minimal triumph.

so a reflash will fix that :D

Look a few post down for zip

Here it is.... naming it to .mp3 was the only way I was able to upload from my phone since I'm mobile rename it to .zip and you should be good to flash it

- Ziggy can you check this I made it from the phone so I'm not 100% certain about the zip.....
