I am on jellybean rom right now overlcoked to 1350 I set an antutu benchmark of 3800 my warp was benchmarking at 5800... this phone is def. A bit slower and does lag..... what rom was the fastest and also hopefully bug free for this Droid x???

Hey Jeff, I've moved your post over here to the Droid X all-things-root area for you.

I'm sure you know about the stickies and the http://androidforums.com/droid-x-all-things-root/402999-official-droid-x-theme-rom-list-updated-3-27-12-a.html thread, but I'm guessing you're wanting some personal recommendations for a good ROM for this phone.

I've still got my Droid X and use it as a wi-fi device on a daily basis--it just runs perfectly like it has since launch day back in July of 2010 ( ;)). Anyway, I'm stock/rooted, so I'm not the best one to advise you here, but the DX root guys are awesome and will surely give you some great advice.

Cheers and best of luck!

Ahhh sorry... liquid Ics sandwhich rom I was running with that antutu score.. OK so I decided to leave liquid ics. I flashed a Rom (liberty) which I guess was for a different kernal and I got a bootloop... some how I made it into recover mode and flashed miui wizard rom which is running smooth and quick but I keep on getting random reboots and I think its cuz of the bootlooop I got... when I start my phone it still says libery and then goes to the miui rom start screen. this shit is so confusing. with my damn warp I can flash any rom and any kernal. So can this be why I get random freezes and auto reboots?
I'm also trying to get this x hooked up to cdma workshop so I can pull info off of it to maybe copy them to my warp so I can run it on Verizon
But since these roms don't have the dialer thing to enter into program or data I can't switch it to get recognized by cdma workshop unless I'm missing something

. Cdma workshop trys to connect to phone I find the find the port and enter 000000 into spc but it won't connect
.. any suggestions?

Jeff,

Pretty sure only the carriers are legally allowed to flash devices to their network (at least here in the States), so we'll have to curtail the discussion of CDMA workshop for the purposes you are describing :).

Thanks!

I also would like some advice about which ROM to use.
I have tried quite a few in the past, and have been using CM9 for the last year or so i think. I like it fine, but i think it uses the battery too quickly. I recently got my hands on another droid x that is stock, and see that it lasts about twice as long as my rooted device. Also it(the stock decive) allows me to use my GalaxyS3 PDANet wifi to access the store, which my CM9 device does not.
I have basically turned my CM9 X into a gaming device for my son to use.
I am looking for a ROM with great battery life, and a working camera, and the ability to connect to PDANet. I would go back to the stock ROM if I could find one still working, but all the links seem broken.
I don't really care anymore if it is Gingerbread, or FroYo, or ICS.
Suggestions?

Haven't checked exactly. I just know that i charged both up before bed and the next morning, I only had about 70% left on the rooted phone, and over 90% on the stock phone. I don't have access to the stock phone anymore, but i know that i consistently loose about 20-30% each night on the CM9 phone.

Not sure I understand the question. The phones weren't getting used at all overnight, because I was asleep. They were just chillin on the kitchen table.

My understanding of the ROMs on the X was that you were actually running the stock Moto GB in the background and your custom ROM in the foreground.

I was running two different phones. I don't believe I am running the stock rom in the background. Not even sure how I would know. If I am it would be cool if i could stop it. As far as I can tell stock doesn't even still exist on the rooted X any longer. My original clockwork backup is still on the micro sd card, but it wont load anymore. Not sure why. Something doesn't pass verification or something, I don't remember what it told me was wrong.
