Does anyone know a good RSS Feed app?? I'm used to just using the one installed with MOTOBLUR on my CLIQ, however, now that I'm using my HTC HD2 w/ Android I can't seem to find a decent one that'll update with RSS feeds.

Any suggestions??

I use Google Reader, which is good for me since I read from two computers and from my phone. I noticed nobody recommended it...do these dedicated feed readers do cool stuff that Google's reader doesn't?

Well, Google Reader is an online reader using the web browser. Many of these apps integrate with Google Reader's feeds, but it's a little different.

FeedR, the one I recommended, integrates with all of my Google Reader feeds. That way, I can read my feeds with Google Reader when I'm in front of a computer, but my phone also downloads the feeds once an hour, so I can read them offline. All feeds marked as read on my computer get marked as read on my phone, and vice versa.

Plus, unlike the web browser, I get real application flexibility like being able to change fonts and font sizes, set it to white text on a black background which is easier on my eyes, I can color code feeds so I know what category they're in, get notifications if I want, that kind of thing.

I use Google Reader on my computers, but being able to set it to white-on-black on my phone is worth the application by itself. Also it stores them offline, so there is no waiting and I can read them even with no network access.

i prefer google reader.

the mobile interface is everything it should be (if you download the "note in google reader workaround"). my feeds are pretty ginormous and from what i've seen none of the alternatives come close to doing the job.

I personally like BlueRSS. It has a button that can mark all so you don't have to go through and delete all of them individually.

I would try them all out if I were you and see what works for you.

Can't believe no one has mentioned BeyondPod. Great for news feeds and podcasts.

edit: checked out newsroom and feedr and noticed you have to pay for those. beyondpod is free.

As I use Google Reader, it has definitely got to be NewsRob for me.

It has all the features that have been mentioned in the thread so far and seems to be quick, have a nice interface and i love being able to scroll through articles using my volume up/down button, which you can turn off.

True, but Newsroom has a free trial (30 days I think) so you can test it out first.

Hey, does anyone know of any free RSS feed apps that will sync or can be manually synced to download articles for off the grid consumption?

This is the only feature that really matters to me, as I do my reading on the subway and need the articles DLed before getting on.

FeedR does.

I've been using the free Rss News Reader by Meecal and like it so far but have not tried FeedR. I like free and it is very easy to add feeds and groups and has lots of options. I used Viigo on Blackberry for a long time and have been looking for an adequate replacement and so far Rss fits the bill for me. It is very easy to add new feeds including those from Google Reader.

FEEDS is pretty nice. That's what I use. I'm not a die-hard rss user, but it seems to be a pretty well rounded app for the power users.
