Best Screen Protector for GS 4

I put an ifrogz screen protector on my GS4 when I got it because that's what the AT&T store had. I ordered some iSmooth screen protectors for when I need to replace the ifrogz. I previously used them on my GN2 and liked them. I prefer the dry application over the wet application methods. I just use my microfiber cloth to clean it every now and then.

More to the point is finding a case that I like. I put the Speck Candyshell on mine (about the best of the few choices at the store) but don't like it. Too slippery for me. I want something minimalist that I can slip in my back pocket or put in a slipper case of some kind on my belt. I need to run by BestBuy and see what they have in the way of cases.

If you're looking for the best slim HARD case, check out the Ringke SLIM case. I bought it prior to getting my GS4. It's only about $10, but minimalist, good on impact absorption, despite it's thinness (I dropped it from about waist level onto Concrete and it survived with the smallest of nicks). It's got a velvet-like, matte finish with cutouts up top and bottom, and holes for buttons. I bought it in black and thought I'd get a white GS4 (I like the contrast), but looks equally good on the black mist I went with after all. Grippy, minimal, sleek and adds the smallest of bulk to a slim beast.

I also bought a BoxWave TPU for more rugged situations. Textured and matte on the back, it's grippy enough. But it has glossy, slick sides that can get away from you. It was only $2 on AMZN, so totally worth it. Not a perfect case, but damn good value.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. I ended up with the Speck Candy Shell Grip case which I really like. The regular CS case protected my GS4 when it slipped out of my hand as I pulled it out of my back pocket and it fell on a hard tile surface. No damage to either the phone or the case. The CS Grip case offers the grip that I was missing on the regular CS case. I've tried a bunch of cases and surprisingly, the Speck has become my fav.

When I bought my phone, I bought the ZAGG invisishield HD version.
the key to that is HD...

it is much smoother than the old rubbery Zagg screen guards, and it is crystal clear.

I got the guy at best buy mobile to first give me a 25% "mall employee" discount, ( even though I do not work in the mall ) then he honored a $10.00 coupon from Radioshack ( seem to get one in the mail every time I buy something there )

I walked out with a screen guard normaly $25.99, for about $10.00 after tax:D

I have used Zagg Invisishield screen guards since they first came to retailers, and have used nothing else.

:rolleyes:Remember: no screen guard prevents cracking!!! they are there to prevent scratches, dirt, oils, and fingerprints...

If I understand correctly, the Spigen GLAS.t is a good product, but because of the thickness, you need a sticker on the home button. Can anyone speak to this? The product is .23 mm, but they have a .15mm, too. Do both need button extension stickers? Thanks in advance for your responses.

Okay so I had a S3 for over 9 months and not a single scratch on the screen and never used a screen protector. Now I am only four months into the S4 and this is the second one that I have gotten a scratch on the screen. I don't get it I baby my phones and use a ballistic jelly case or a Tpu case. Is the S4 screen not as tough? I don't want to get a screen protector I hate those things but I don't want to keep trading my phones for ones without scratches because the scratches bother me so much. Nothing like looking at your phone and seeing a nice scratch on it others may not see it but I look at it all the time. Sorry to rant any but any help would be appriciated.

I've always used Zagg Invisable Shield on my devices for the past 3 yrs. Its very durable, scratch resistant and can't really tell its there. It is very smooth and doesn't interfere with touch sensitivity from your fingers. (Unless your using a styles) The only down side, is applying it correctly, since its the wet application type.

I use cheap screen protectors. Once I learned the trick of using Scotch tape in the application process, applying a new screen protector became a piece of cake. Before, it was always a chore and I never could get one on without some lint getting underneath.

Cheap, almost invisible protection. What's not to like? ;)

I've used xtremeguard in the past, just like Zagg invisible shield but only a few dollars and better at self healing. For this phone, I'm using spigen crystal clear. So far no scratches on it and it feels like the glass. More fingerprints tho.

i'm going to buy screen protector for my GS4 which one is the best?
i've heard much about iloome screen protector for GS4,
also spigien screen protector, and i don't know which one is the best for me.
i drop at the front (screen down) my phone verry easely,so please help me :)))))

I am using the Vitreo Tempered glass screen protector I got from Seidio. The display on my original S4 died and I was very surprised that I was able to harvest the screen protector from the original S4. It went on the new unit with just one additional dust speck. You can't beat the clarity and feel of this protection. I have noticed that I picked up a small scratch. I can detect it with my thumbnail but I can't see it.
