Best SD formatting

I have a scandisk 8g , Class 4 SD... Ive formatted it at ::FAT32, 64kilobytes...
I want to know if this is the best possible format to get the fastest performance out of videos and music or should I format it at FAT32,512mb

I thought the Hero could only read at class 2 speeds, even though it accepts cards up to class 6?
