best security app

What is the best security app for antivirus and maleware protection.. currently i'm using cm security. But i been seen alot of reviews about eset 360. What is your opinon?

I quit using it but I was using Avast. I never ran across any problems and don't install apps from anywhere but Google, Amazon, and XDA so felt it was unnecessary.

Never used one in 4 years of Android, in my opinion if you know what you're installing and its from a trusted source then there's no need really.

Of course for peace of mind there's options out there :)

i use cm security but lately they are becoming a little too aggressive telling me to clear my browser history every time i use a browser for amazon or walmart searches. Annoying at times. But never had problems other wise. They do have cloud service that tells you all about the apps you have installed. A lot of info provided when using it.

I am currently using cm security and it's been a little much. Guess i'll stick with it since it seems to give more info than others. However I was wondering have you guys had any issues with your battery life. i can put my phone on charge and it leave it on all day and get it only to 85 and it drops like crazy once off charge. I have changed my brightness, lefted nothing syncing, my email is push, would a battery saver app be in order? I did order me a new battery. I was curious if i needed to install me a battery saving app like juice defender

Their are a hundred threads about this.........

You don't need a security or anti-virus app.
Only download from trusted sites and you will have no problems.
I've owned Gingerbread, ICS, Jellybean, and now KitKat devices and have never had a single problem.

Why would you use an app that uses up space and resources for no reason?

I'm currently using Kaspersky 2015 and it's really amazing!

Does Instant Check on Files, Application and more
Harmful Malware Activity Rollback

As MLSS says, there are no android viruses so theres really no need to use one of these scaremongery apps imho.
If you have "unknown sources" unchecked in Security settings then be careful what you download, especially if youre rooted, and thats about it with android software security
