Best settings for the video camera? VGA or 720p?

If anybody has experiencing taking a lot of videos, which is the better mode? I've found that the framerate is terrible with the 720p, but does the increase in picture quality make up for that?

That's something interesting. I see that issue on some youtube videos where the frame rate acts weird
