Well, I've tried many settings for recording video but nothing felt good. I am not at all satisfied with the recording quality.

what custom settings do you guys use???
what is the best settings for recording video,
that is to get good Fps and quality...

you can only get good fps when there is ample light.. i.e during day time
The best video i captured is 22-23 average fps @ 640by480 exposure at 0

hey d frame rate never decreases or increases.it remains constant at 15fps.rest info is useful info.

@varun

no, copy the video to ur pc and analyze it using any video editing software..
videos recorded in good light conditions have 22-23 frames/second @ average
videos in low light drops below 8-9 fps
@OP
Also if u reduce exposure, ur frames will improve significantly..

The reason the video is captured @ higher frames/second in good lighting conditions is that the camera aperture is just too small to allow lots of light in one go when u press the record button.. The camera slows down the recording process, so that it can get enough light in and thus we get lower frames/second...

And if u guys are wondering, a firmware update like in motorola defy or nexus one wont increase the quality of videos captured from our cam..
LGcamera has an option to record vids at 30 fps or whatever u specify... that is BS and doesnt work .. :P

Video fps remains always same..they don't. Change ....while playing video it will higher fPS..see while recording a video

If this was true it will. Solve a camera problem we are facing in optimus net port to p500 ....which has 25fps..but lgp500 at 18fps...they have changed libs and tried to compile but u can't correct hardware problem with software...lol

I think this is pretty obvious.. while taking videos outside during the day, u will see that the autofocus is very quick and the video capture feels real smooth but indoors or during night, there is a lot of sluggishness in the video capture
its all hardware related so its a no go through software update..

btw maybe lg updated the camera of optimus net to something better than op 1 ?...

That's what I am telling u can't change hardware....but xda dev ..they made it work somehow ...u can capture images but no video...optimistic net is bit better...

Hey sam,sunil is correct.frame rate increases in ample light.also quality increases.
@sunil:sorry for objection.
@kitwalker:rest settings are suitable but u should use h263 codec or mpeg4 codec for good videos. Try it.

Posted to help every Micromax A70 user to get the best video quality / resolution from their devices.

I m getting full VGA (640x480) pixels video @ 29.87fps. But so sad, we dont have customize options as in camera settings - contrast or saturation etc.

Colors are very poor and totally washed out :o

============================================================

Video Quality = Custom
White Balance = Auto
Color Effect = None (of course)
Video Size = VGA
Video Encoder = MPEG4
Audio Encoder = AAC
Duration = 30 min (which is maxx)

Now See the results. You'll need a PC though to analyse.

==========================================================

And my camera settings

I did All Contrast, Saturation and sharpness to level 4 and results are unbeatable :eek:

Hit thanks button in the lower right if anything helped you a little...
