Best Video Chat for Tbolt

Has anyone done significant video chatting with their tbolt yet? I've seen a lot of apps out there but think most of them aren't compatible with the tbolt yet or aren't compatible with iphones. I recently used Tango to call my friend who has an iphone and the quality was alright but would skip frames frequently and the soudn would just cut out. I was on 4G, she was on wireless but in China so perhaps that was the issue. I video chatted my buddy in Portland, OR who has an iphone and the quality was decent, however nothing like apple facetime. Why android can't provide a good video chat app after the 9 months that facetime's been out is beyond me.

Anyone else try better video chatting apps out there for the tbolt?

Tango is the only thing Ive gotten to work Phone to phone, however the sound sucks. I heard that Yahoo worked, but it continuously craps out on me. Ive read that there are some folks on XDA that are trying to fix Skype though.

I'm using the Yahoo! Messenger app. Works pretty well, and I like to be able to call on my family /friends that are using a messenger app on a PC vs. Phone only. Quality is really good on Wi-Fi, haven't triend it yet on 4G / 3G.

I have tried several programs to connect with an AT&T iphone user. Tango would not connect on their end the few times we tried it and we abandoned it. Yahoo Messenger worked ok, but it turned out to be a huge battery drain due to yahoo sync issues. I think their iphone battery up time was cut in more than half after yahoo was installed. maybe setting tweaks would have fixed this though. oh yes, I also had to turn the volume all the way up and could still barely hear the other line. they could hear me fine.
I just used the new Fring beta that works for the TB and it worked great! picture was acceptable better than yahoo and the sound was equal on both ends. both of us were using Wifi connection. I think we may have found a winner until Skype is updated for this the TB.

I've used Tango quite a bit now. Use it across carriers (to AT&T and Sprint), and across platforms (to an iPhone as well). I've used it on 4g and 3g connection. As long as you are realistic about your expectations of what a video chat on a 3g connection should look like you will be pleased.

Plus Tango has secured $13.7mil of cash via private investors to improve the platform and technology. That has got me convinced that it will be updated and improved....
