i searched and im pretty sure there isnt already a thread.

but what is the best (free) video player from the market?

and just to be sure i am putting them on the eris right but they go in the albums part with the pictures right?

and does the eris have the ability to play m4v files? they are from itunes recently purchased and that is the file type and i put it on my phone but it is not working. i thought itunes did away with the DRM on newly purchased items

I made a folder on my SD card called movies..copied some mp4 vids and the native player found them and plays them fine.

Movies from iTunes store (m4v) do not play.
I've been using the stock player...but only had the phone for 3 days.....

"native player"? i'm looking through my eris and the only player i see is "music" app. i don't see a video player.

all - here's thread from a company thats working on a player for android OS, and i don't mean for a certain version OS, they want it to work for all so it's taking time...and they have to wait for google to release an NDK that lets them make it work well.

if there will ever be an awesome video player for the eris - these guys will make it. they are the creators of TCPMP back in the day. it was an open source player that supported almost anything, and it was first made for mobile devices like windows mobile and palmOS, now they've discontinued that project and moved to a paid app.

Just click on the video within the album and it plays on the native player.

What I cant figure out though it how to have a name display for the videos within the album. I have a tv series but cannot differentiate between episode 4 and episode 5 for example.

Total noob question, how do you make a folder on your sd card???

Howdy :)

1. Make sure the movie you want to put on the ERIS is in a supported format in the correct size

2. Mount your ERIS as a hard drive
3. Open the file folder location
4. Make a folder called "Movies"
5. Drag and drop your movie to the Movies folder
6. Unmount your device from the computer
7. Go to the photos icon on your ERIS
8. Select the file folder view
9. You will see your Movies folder and the movies in them

Play!

mVideoPlayer is my favorite, although I haven't really tested a lot. Mostly I like it because it can play subtitles, and it will remember the position of the movie you're playing if you back out of the app (though this can be changed). I also like how you can have it show the time and the amount of battery remaining at the top of the video (which can be changed to only show when you pause it.)
