Help Best way to clear data from Captivate

Stock Froyo, rooted using Super-one-click 1.7.

Maybe returning phone and wanted to make sure it is clear as the phone has my saved passwords and other personal data.

What is the best way to clear the phone and un-root it? I know I can back-up my contacts to the external SD card, but will my purchased apps like TiBU Pro? Will it still remain attached to my gMail account when i get a new phone?

Any help would be appreciated.

You can backup everything with "Titanium Backup", it will save all setings and applications on sdcard.
If you want to save just contacts, SMS or call logs, use following apps :
vCardIO ~ Android Application v0.32-sms By Duck Tayp | Tools
Call Logs Backup & Restore ~ Android Application v2.3 By Ritesh Sahu | Tools
SMS Backup & Restore ~ Android Application v3.9.1 By Ritesh Sahu | Tools
Apps bought via Market are bound to gMail account, so if you enter your gMail account to other phone, you'll see list of purchased apps and will be able to install them.
The only way how to delete everything is to make factory reset (Settings / Privacy /Factory data reset), this will delete all data and you'll get stock system.
