Root Best way to customize

I switched to the lg motion from optimus m and it was like a giant step in time lol. Im glad the optimus m was my first smart phone so i could get some trial and error done. But being on a stock rom even though its ics, i feel like i am missing something.

All though the customization is pretty well implemented in ics stock, there are still a few things that i do miss from say cm7.

I am rooted
I have Nova launcher already
I tried a few other apps for customizing, but was not too impressed

I want to change my notification bar to have custom toggles for starters

How are u others making your motion custom or not si stockish.

I like for people to pick up my phone and be like daaaaaamn wtf did you do to this -thing

If you want to change or rearrange the toggles in the notification bar slide the toggles to the left and choose edit

Ya im familiar with the stock options, they wont let you set custom toggles or widgets

Ive tried a few notification bar apps, and they all suck. Plain and simple they are just another widget put inside your notification bar. I don't like having 2 toggle menus, looks dumb

I moved your thread to All Things Root since you are rooted, and rooted users can do more customizing than non-rooted users

Edit your systemUI.apk and framework-res.apk. Look for a guide on theming.
