Help Best way to transfer photos from S4 to computer?

Hi all. Just wondering if anyone has found an easy way to transfer their S4 photos from phone to PC.

With my old phone I just plugged it via USB once a month, started up Picasa on the desktop, and set it to import the photos into the folder structure I already used for my real cameras (year/yyy_mm_dd).

But I noticed that this method doesn't work anymore - Picasa seems to have a hard time figuring out which files on the phone are intended for the transfer.

If there's a better approach, or better software, let me know? TIA.

Easiest way is copy and paste, create an S4 folder on your pc, then just copy and paste your s4 files in there, you can create picture, software, data, any type of folder you choose to create.

It won't show up on your computer. ES lets you browse other computers on the network but not vice-versa. I believe you need to be rooted to explore your phone through Windows. There are apps (like Airdroid) that let you do it through a web browser but not through Windows Explorer. If you are rooted you can use Samba or something similar to explore your phone from your computer.

Download usb driver from samsung site:

On my first post, I cannot add the url - google usb drivers for s4 and go to the one on the samsung site.

The kies software on the usb driver works great to individual or batch transfer photos - use the floppy disc icon at top of photo view screen to save to computer - also can batch delete from phone from this driver.

This driver works with OEM and generic usb cables.
