Help Best way to uninstall application?

I know of 3 ways.

Go to Marketplace --> Menu --> Download --> Select app to uninstall.

Settings --> Applications --> Manage Applications

Uninstaller.

What's the best way to uninstall?

I'm wondering if certain apps lead residual files + folders even though the app has been uninstalled.
