Better Battery Recommendations

Any recommendations for a better battery other than the OEM battery (1850mAh) that comes with the Nexus? Don't care to get the 3800 where you have to change the back plate. I like my Otterbox Defender.

I purchased the china batteries - you can get like 3 + charger for $10. They are OEM size but seem to work just as well as the OEM. Can't beat the price either. I always have an extra with me.

No, China batteries do not support NFC - the cheap ones anyway.

OEM (which supports NFC) is my primary battery. Extras are to carry with me and give me an instant boost back to 100% when necessary.

Also, I've had the phone for over a month and have yet to use the NFC. That technology has really cool potential but is still too new.

How often have you used it, plemonjello?

Near Field Communication. basically what it does is you can touch your phone to another NFC enabled phone and xfer certain data such as webpages and app info.

OR

you can get a NFC tag and program it to do something, like when you walk into your house you touch your phone to a NFC tag and it will tell you phone to turn on Wifi, turn sound down to 50% and to open up your Stock page to check your stocks. thats just a small example. the best thing i could liken it to is electronic door lock at a hotel and the keycard.

If you dont mind me asking vecc - whats the mah capacity and how long on (average) do they last?

well...first I mistakenly bought batteries that only fit the GSM version. So only last week did I purchase the ones that will fit the cdma. Haven't had a chance to test them out yet.

They are 1990mah and do not require a new back cover.

Yesterday I got 1day 10hrs of life with screen on 1.5hrs and 45 min talk time - down to 6% left. Thought that was pretty good. It was wifi all day.

The china batteries for my DInc seemed to last longer than my OEM battery - same mah.
