Better contact backup?

Just curious what others out there are using to back up their contacts. I've always used Verizon's Backup Assistant, which is okay but not great. For instance one thing that bugs me is that none of the photos I use for people get backed up. So when I go to a new phone or need to do a FDR like after Kit Kat, I have get my numbers back (although some newer ones are missing even though I have it set to auto-backup daily) but the photos are gone.

Are there alternatives that work better, that actually keep the photos backed up as well?

I use Google to back up my contacts and everything gets backed up including contact pictures.

If i remember i think in contacts you're able to log into your google account and it should sync/back-up automatically with your account.

if you add a new contact you're able to choose where you want to save the number to ; your phone; gmail; sims card etc.

i think someone else can explain it better than me. -_-

Go to settings, accounts, google, press on your gmail at top and check in list what you want it to sync...works like a charm...makes a reset so easy if you have to do one, ever.

Took me a little bit to find it but find it I did. I turned off my Sync with Verizon's Backup Assistant and also turned off all the Google sync'ed crap that I did even know was sync'ed. I'll see how it goes.

Thanks for the tips.
