Better Miracast device

Well I ordered one of the early bird specials. Was hoping someone had some insight into this before I did so, but wanted to get in before the $89 ones were gone which they are, only $99 ones left with a later ship date. I'l post thoughts here when I get it. It's funded by the way, in about a day.

My thoughts was this would be better than the Netgear device since it was running full Android. Basically more flexibility. Plus the parental feature is nice with kids.

Looks quite interesting. Do you have a spec sheet anywhere? He did say multi core in the video, but it doesn't list RAM etc (not that I could see anyway).

It's has:

Marvell New Armada Dual Core 1.2GHz SoC / Memory: 1GB RAM
4GB Internal Flash
WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), Ethernet Port, and Bluetooth (4.0)
2 USB 2.0 Ports, Speaker & Microphone Jack, HDMI (1080p/720p) output

They hit their target and if they hit $100k they add colors options, $250k 3 usb ports, $500k adds 8GB memory and 2GB flash for $10 more. These are bonuses and within reach imo.

It's less powerful than ouya but then again it's a different device with a different goal. Ouya doesn't have Miracast so that made the decision for me. Plus I have a son so the parental options are a big plus.

My thoughts are this is the best Miracast receiver I've seen so far.

Ouya's geared towards gamers though, this looks more generic and is family orientated.

Not for me at the moment, but probably something I'd pick up for my son when he's old enough. I hope they do well. :)
