Help better prl files for the zte valet ?

Are there any better prl files available for the valet ?
Is it even possible for the user to replace these files in the valet ?
I have noticed that my coverage area has shrunk a lot since getting the valet and that is very disappointng

I am finding that since i got the valet my coverage area has shrunk substantially.
i dont need data or text in these areas i just need to make calls. This is for emergency and security reasons.
with my old phone i could at least make calls in these areas. Now notrhing ?!?!

This thread we are now in is the merged thread! The other one has a 4 day redirect to this thread! But the prl question you are asking for who is your carrier some have codes you can update your prl.

Its OK! With the coverage issues! Does your phone roam is it in home everywhere?

Hello amarie82. My prepaid phones used to roam here and I had plenty of signal and could make calls through the local carriers towers.
The valet will not roam here. So I have to try to use the Verizon tower in town 20 miles away. Once in a while it does work so the Valet's reception is better than I thought.
From what I'm hearing it will be virtually impossible to hack the PRL and get away with it.
Oh well !!! ;-(

Only other thing I can suggest is make sure your roaming settings are on! If they are and its still now working then Yea the prl is something that can't be changed!
