Beware - HTC auto backup not working on 2.2

Sorry if ppl are already aware of this!

I emailed HTC to check if my apps data and SMS could be restored to my replacement DHD when it arrives, via the automatic backup and restore. They replied to say that (contrary to the manual) the auto backup function doesn't cover sms and settings. Apparently it no longer works in v2.2 - you need to download a backup app from the market.

So,can anyone recommend a good one, please? My calendar & emails are synchronised via exchange activesync so it's settings, data etc, that I want to back up.

thanks Sereniity - I have downloaded Mybackup - do you know what the difference is between them? Can't remember why I downloaded that in preference now!

I checked the market again- it reads as though Titanium is for rooted DHDs (& is called Titanium * root). I saw the paid version as well but no others. Have I misunderstood?

I thought there was HTCSense. It was meant to backup a lot of things. However I just checked the HTCSense and I don't get all the dashboard (well I guess there meant to be more than one dashboard as I can't see any links).

From what I've read HTC sense doesn't work properly - and HTC didn't suggest using it, they said I should download a backup app from the market, but they weren't allowed to make any recommendations. I also thought (but could be wrong) that iHTC Sense backed up email etc as opposed to apps and settings. I don't need email & calendar backup as they are synced through my work exchange server.
