I seem to remember reading somewhere that Progressive made one of those annual top 10 worst companies to deal with articles. I'll gladly stick with AAA. They've taken very good care of me.

I tried contacting everyone, ya they told me finally that the fraud is what prompted this policy.I have a friend that works in claims at progressive.
I told her about your post and without knowing many details she came up with the following:
1. Florida is a high fraudulent claims state and they (progressive) just recently implemented a policy of too many claims and you're out.
2. She said progressive cannot renew your North Dakota policy in Florida. So it's possible that you would just need to contact one of their specialty teams to get this resolved.
I've got a $1000 deductible so filing a claim in that case still wouldn't make much sense in my situation.
It's kind of a given that if you file too many claims your company will drop you. What defines too many depends on the company.
I tried contacting everyone, ya they told me finally that the fraud is what prompted this policy.
However if they bothered to check they could dismiss fraud claims. For example they have a claims center not 5 miles from my house if they want they could have me go there and verify cracked windows.
I also think that dropping customers based on possible fraud is going to come back to kick them in the ass. They dont want to verify an just kick those good paying customers out soon no one will want to insure with them for fear of losing insurance if they need to use it.
If you dont like them thast much then switch to another company. Its your right to do so. No one is forcing you to use them. So the problem is you and not them. They have their rules and when you accept a policy from them. Then you agree to follow their rules. Its just like with gas in a car. If the gas from one station makes your car run bad. Dont you switch to another station that makes your car run great or do you complain about how the gas from the first station makes your car run bad and keep filling up every week.
So switch companies and you will be a lot happier or do you like to have something to complain about?
WOW. great logic there. so by your reasoning, NO company is a bad company, simply because you don't have to use them? this is piss poor reasoning at best.
i drive a sports car that a lot of smaller insurance companies (who i would usually rather deal with) won't cover, period. Everyone else is a lot more expensive. Just because they're cheaper doesn't give them an excuse to have such terrible customer service. And I don't care what you say, there is NO excuse for raising my rates without informing me first, ESPECIALLY when they take it directly out of my account. nice try at trolling though...

Show me where I said no company is a bad company. Just because you think they are dont make them bad. You are just having a poor personal experience with them. My parents has had gieco for over I think 40 years or so and never once had a bad experience with them. You have to take the good with the bad.WOW. great logic there. so by your reasoning, NO company is a bad company, simply because you don't have to use them? this is piss poor reasoning at best.

again I am not saying they are not in the wrong. You feel wronged by their policy and you have the right to move to another company if you are not happy. By staying it shows it must not be that bad after all.when you stated: "No one is forcing you to use them. So the problem is you and not them." , that implies that you think since i don't have to stay with them, they are not in the wrong at all, thus implying you think no company could possibly be bad, simply because you don't have to stick with them.
i will agree that im having a bad experience with them, and not everyone will. I'm just sharing my bad experience. although i will say, i have a few friends in the auto-repair industry and they have all said geico is one of the worst insurance companies for them to deal with. when it comes to insurance, the smaller companies tend to be better.
as for lordofthereefs comment, so you think any company that offers cheaper rates than others has the right to have shitty customer service? NO company should have a pass for poor customer service.
and let me just add, you don't always get what you pay for. but in this case, you do.
you guys act like i have no right to be upset with the way i've been poorly treated by a company i do business with, and it's ludicrous to be honest. I GUARANTEE every single one of you has complained about a company before, whether it be cell phone, insurance, cable, etc. GUARANTEE IT.
By staying it shows it must not be that bad after all.[\quote]
i'm still with them right now because i'm selling my car in a month. i'll be switching once that happens.
Oh you have a right to be upset but if you don't do anything about it and just accept poor service. It shows you as all talk and no action. Yeah I complained about the blue death star after I was treated poorly and guess what I left them and now with big red. I have been treated good by them but have seen them others treated poorly. Like I said it's personal experiences with any company. You have to make the best of it. Just like you show that you will roll over and accept their poor service because they are cheaper.
HAHA does it look like i'm "rolling over and accepting it?" because it definitely doesn't seem that way to me. (i've filed complaints, left reviews on different sites, and will be switching once i get rid of my car that requires a larger insurance company)
I'm currently covered with Progressive and they flat out suck! I am always behind on my insurance payments due to the fact that it went up like a lot since my accident and my tickets (okay, I know, I am not blaming anyone else but myself) but still, they should at least give me some leadway, it sucks having to pay $173.00 ($186.00 if I'm late) when I'm currently working 1 day a week for 6 hours it doesn't help much. Guess I need to find a better job LOL. But yeah, that sucks though, especially with multicar discount. What's up with that?? lol
I was with progressive off and on since 96 or so, 2-3 years here 6-18 months with someone else then back to them for 4+ years then went to another for 2 years, then back to progressive from 07 or so, I was a "premium" member my rates were pretty damn low, 3 cars full coverage $129 a month.I have been with Progressive for about 6 years and have been happy with them. I live in FL. I had been in one accident a few years ago where I rear-ended someone, my fault, but I called Progressive from the accident and they guided me through everything. I took it to an authorized repair shop (it was still driveable for the 1 mile distance), rental car company picked me up from there and took me to their office for a rental car, an Progressive agent stayed in contact with me on repair status, and within 2 weeks I had my car back. Of course, my rates went up quite a bit on my renewal which was expected with any insurance company.
The whole experience was smooth and everyone at Progressive was polite and courteous which is why I continue to send them money. Because of being with them for awhile, I also qualify for their accident forgiveness now. I could probably find a cheaper alternative, but because of my personal experience with Progressive I would rather spend a little more to have peace of mind if I have another accident.
