My headphone jack suddenly stopped working for no apparent reason...anyone else have this problem?

Also, i really want my battery indicator at the top right to tell me a percent.

Finally, when i want to end apps in the task manager, i have to refresh it always, it doesnt constantly update.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

battery indicator app is what i use, as for your headphone jack the switching device may have stuck on. google for solutions on that & good luck. as for task manager i'm using a supplment app, advanced task manager from the market. hope this helps

I use batter widget for my battery status. The stock task manager should refresh when you open the app. Unless you are just hitting the home button to exit. Hit the back key to exit all the way out of it.

Thank you guys for the task manager help, but ok so you know the green battery indicator at the top right? is there any way to make that tell me a percent? also, i dont really understand about the switching device stuff

. . . . i really want my battery indicator at the top right to tell me a percent. . . . .

What were Motorola thinking ????? Did they really think the customer would be smiling when they suddenly see the charge drop from 90% to 80% ????

Battery Monitor Widget lets you put the percentage in large digits on the Notification Bar - and when you click on the Bar, it opens full page and gives you heaps of information, including graphs of charge level etc, how much current the phone is drawing from the battery, etc

To Mike. that isnt funny. the indicator at the top right isnt accurate ever. i understand you can get a percent in the notification bar, but thats not what im asking here. i want to edit the original battery to say a percent. i did it on my captivate but i dont see anything to do it here

I don't think he was trying to offend anyone. The stock battery indicator only shows 10 percent incriments, that can't be changed. So you will have to use a 3rd party battery percentage indicator if you want an accurate read.

no no no i want to change the ORIGINAL to a percent. also, anyone having trouble with the headphone jack? thats huge for me

You aren't going to be able to change the stock battery without ROOTING and using a 3rd party mod. Since I am against ROOT, I can't offer any more other than to suggest that you check over at XDA and see if someone has hacked something. (As a sys admin, I think running your phone as ROOT is as dangerous as running Windows as Administrator, or Linux as Root)

The only problem I had with the headphone jack not working turned out to be my case keeping the plug on the headset from plugging all the way in. I just took an exacto knife and trimmed the excess rubber from around the plug on my headset and it fit right in.

if its not the headphones I say get it replaced I wouldn't trust anyone with knives or possiblely voiding warranty hazards. may be a maufracturing defect.
