Root Bionic (Awakening the Ally)

Trying some new things today...

*no luck on blur ui today, posting a vid today for those who couldnt beta test or didnt have the enterest*

I have closed the Beta for now, but I would like to thank everyone for the feedback. Question is, will the beta return someone asked? My answer is unknown at the moment as id like to have full service when the time comes. Those of you that still have the beta, Keep it for yourself or delete it. Doing some logcats, taking dropcaps, helping debug and develop, its yours now but do not distribute without permission all I ask.
Ive posted a second preview of Bionic for those who couldnt make the beta and those who are curious of the project, sorry for the bad angle as its hard to take video with an android tablet 0.o (Archos101)
Current things im working on...
*Skinning and Deving Bionic UI
*Trying to port Blur UI from Bionic Device
*Full serviced Radio
*Splash Screens and Animations
*Themeing
*Tethering services (Tethering is malfunctioning at the moment)
*More user options and customization
*3rd party installer
*New setup?

it seem like lots of things are now successful.
does that mean that the phone now works as a phone as well. it seem like it.
camera too?

No reason to release v0. 5. I prefer a stable release for the next release.
*more themeing
*permissions added
*added host for ad blocking
*trying to add more cyanogen features...

I was dissapointed in seeing (Gretel)'s death (if it is)so I decided to take things into my own hands. As far as "different" this rom is very unique in appearance and UI. However, there are plenty of bugs and issues to be worked on yet but i am making more headway each time i sit down and work on it. The community wants user settings and ability to have change and thats the main idea of Bionic. Altho far from release as a stable phone rom, id say it would be stable enough for a retired Ally but dependable...no

*posted via 3g tethering from Bionic firmware

I can put about an hr or 2 into work each day so itl take some time
*thanks for the link, i was trying to look at other cm builds and see how they are built compared to (gretel)

Glad to see u still workin on this rgocal, Team StormDroid is behind this project 100% and if there is anything you need you know where you can find us :D

i don't know who's repo this is, but it was helpful in getting my own source build going. https://github.com/allydev and getitnowmarketing has the kernel source and other things in github https://github.com/getitnowmarketing
since kernel.org it's kinda hard to get all the source, maybe cyanogenmod wiki has a way.
the best build i could get working was codeaurora 2.3.5 without h/w acceleration or radio, but i didn't try cm and i probably did something wrong with proprietary libraries

It put the roid in droid ^^)
Next couple days are free for me so I'll be working hard on some ideas I got in mind.

*those enterested being part of future RC's and test, pm me so I have a list of people to ask for assistance.

Lets just say, thos who pm'd me so far are highly likely contestants^.^
This firmware is more or less meant as an upgrade that was never meant to be but we are making it happen. LG new that the ally was capable of gingerbread but never released an upgrade, y? android phones and tablets are built as throw away items, when a new one comes out, you throw away the last or they make it better to make more money. the truth is money...

anywhoooo built a splash screen today, added some scripts, tried writing a smoother update-script, tampered with the framework somemore and some custom .ogg notifications to spice things up.
radio seems to be on a steady 3/4 bars on good days now, headway?
In the progress of writing a xml so that reboots to gain 3g isnt necessary and to fix some bugs in cyanogen. For my touch panel I wanted, I seen a cyanogen rom out there has that feature for a tablet...so I am trying to find that rom and do some porting. The ability to add whatever touch menu buttons you need on your status bar...I like. (have like 12 system dumps in my archive somewhere...)
Long night ahead of me, we will get this done.
