Help Bionic Shuts down my Internet when WIFI Enable

I can use the WIFI enable feature on my phone whenever I'm at school or other friends houses but when I'm at home and enable it my entire network basically shuts off. I have to reset the modem in order to get it back working again.

It's not when I enable the WIFI on the phone but rather when I click to connect to my home network that it wipes it out - all my computers and xbox devices disconnect as well and the phone doesn't connect to it.

I've called my internet company and they said it's Verizon's issue and they can tell me how to fix it. I called Verizon and was on the phone for 2 hours (very nice guy) but he had no clue how to fix it...

Anyone have suggestions? My internet is with Cincinnati Bell - Fiber Optics internet.

Any help will be greatly appreciated :confused::confused::confused:

Well, buy an inexpensive WiFi router, connect its WAN port to one of the Cincinnati Bell ethernet ports, set its network address to something other than what the Cincinnati Bell router is using (e.g., if the current router uses 192.168.0.xxx, use 192.168.not zero.xxx for the new router), create a different SSID for that router and use a WiFi channel that is at least 5 away from the existing router, and use the new router for the Bionic.

DSL modem/router combos can be very troublesome.

What type of router does your ISP use? I had the same issue with EnGenius wireless routers. It only killed the router when trying to make a wireless N connection. If you log into your router and turn off the wireless N it would work fine. You may want to try that on yours. I ended up switching to a high-end Asus router tho.
