Help Bionic stock Gallery app issues

I copied all the images from my DroidX card onto the Bionic earlier today all arranged in their specific folders... Just now I wanted to change the wallpaper and pick one of my images and what do I see?
The entire image content of my card is nicely jumbled into one big mess. WHAT THE HELL?! :( That really pissed me off. What gives?

Yeah that was a disappointment. I like everything neat, organized and seperated. Quick Pic solved this no problem. Still, the fact that they changed the gallery to have less functionality is irritating.

Thats why i posted here. I was secretly hoping someone would know an alternative app to the gallery. Thanks guys :)

Gallery 3D is best I know of

QuickPic is my main recommendation as well. Gallery 3D is my alternate pick.

I came from the semi-awesome Droid X gallery to the absolutely hideous Droid X2 gallery. I was helping my boss set up his new Bionic today and noticed that the gallery is very similar to the one on the X2 and D3. It's a tad faster but still pretty lame. Probably the single worst part of the DB software-wise but, thankfully, Android has plenty of alternatives.

All I really wanna do is set my wallpaper with a picture from my gallery....as of now, don't think its possible with the stock gallery...

The stock gallery is horrible! There's no reason why all the photos should be thrown together in one album. Also, all my previous photos look extremely washed out.

I installed quickpic and agree it is a great app to get the feel of the gallery browser I had on my DroidX, however I "think" I may be having problems in trying to send pics via MMS text directly when browsing via QuickPic. I long press, hit share and send via text and the picture seems to get stuck in sending showing the green arrow indicating the picture is still being sent. However when I go and do the same process via the stock gallery application it goes out with no problem.

Anyone else experiencing something similar?

just got my bionic yesterday and noticed the same issue with the stock gallery (everything being lumped into one folder). just to clarify, is there no way of retaining your albums within the stock gallery app? i.e. the only way to do so is to use a 3rd party app like quick pic?

+1 on the stock sucking. thanks for the quickpic suggestion. I have to say I am probably going to root as Im finding motos version of android a bit crappy. I absolutely loved my droid1, moto please please please just give us an option to switch to googles version without us rooting.
