Bionic to Nexus to Bionic to Rezound!

I thought my story might apply to others so I am sharing it.

I bought a Motorola Bionic as an upgrade for my Droid X, It was a nice performance boost. One day after the Samsung galaxy nexus was released I saw the screen and fell in love so I bought a SGN and it was wonderful, well except for the fact that the antenna was so much weaker than the Motorola device I kept dropping calls at my house. Something I have never had an issue with Motorola phones.

I live in the diamond shaped area in between four cell towers so in general I am lucky to get two bars of coverage on my Motorola phones. The SGN had no bars and the few times I was able to connect the call would drop. So I sold the SGN and went back to the Bionic.

Needles to say that was like going from HD to STD resolution on the screens. It was driving me crazy the quality of screen.

So the other day in Indianapolis I happened to stop in a Verizon store and after talking to them the salesman asked if I had seen the HTC Rezound. Normally I am all over the phones that were out but oddly I had never heard of this phone. He showed me his and I was amazed. The screen was amazingly clean like the SGN and it seemed solidly built. I liked the ability to manage the applications also.

The real question was how is the antenna on it. On a leap of faith I bought one and drug it back home.

I was so amazed to find I can get better signal reception with it than I can my Motorola phones. The bars on the screen report twice the signal strength as the Motorola. Yes Yes I know, not all manufactures report the signal strength the same so one manufactures two bars could be the same as anothers four bars. However I noticed a call quality increase also. My calls seemed crisper and I have yet to hear any digital garble.

I am very pleased so far with it's performance.

I hope this info. helps anyone in a similar situation.
