looks like the bionic is the phone to get for an offered up-grade. Supposedly the bionic is ATrix -like. Docking it and using it like a notebook/laptop. Which i love. I travel.

im ok w/o 4g, but if its upgradable cool, and i actually like the fact of 4.5 screen and front camera. Alot of people I know have iphones i can use(TANGO) and they livefar away, also using video skype.

I really like the new reVampted Bionic.

anyone else??
 
Looks to be the best bet for a new phone right now. IF, and i do stress the word "IF" the bootloader is unlocked, there will be iPhone lines waiting for this puppy :):)

Same I went in and played with an infuse and it didnt seem too big but the way motorola makes their phones 4.5 would be huge. Lets hope they went with 4.3. I would be happy if they went with a 4 inch screen I think that is the sweet spot, atleast for me.

Well, it'd be too funny if it ended up being released on July 6th, because that's what I've been saying all along!!!

July 6th, 2011 is 20 months(Verizon's minimal contract time for next discount) from the original release date or the original Droid.

I was one of those nuts waiting in line Nov 6th, 2009 to get the first Droid, now 20 month's later(July 6th) I'm hoping to get the Bionic!!!
 
How can you guys be so excited about a locked down phone?

Motorola gives android and rooted users the finger.

Motorola is saying "Yes you may spend $300 bucks for our phone and a 2 year contract, but it is STILL our phone. It will always be our phone. Do NOT try and modify it because it is locked. Thanks for buying our phone - but it is still our phone despite your massive purchase."

What a sick company.

I had to call verizon today (unrelated to this) but at the end of the call you know they are always trying to get you to upgrade your phone. I said "no thanks, I'm waiting for the Bionic or whatever it will be to drop." She said "me too."

LOL and that was the end of the hard sell.

She also said she heard July but who knows.

That's me - picked up my OG Droid at 7AM Nov 2009 (since then a D2 replacement from VZW when the D1 went south). My date is 7/6/11 as well.

Just read recently that VZW is supposed to roll out tiered plans on 7/7/2011 as well...haven't taken the time yet to see if I can verify that.
 
Since the 6 is a wed and Verizon is supposed to announce tieref data the 7 i find it highlu July 6 release datr. I'm sure they will announce this with introduction of tiers I wish they wouldnt though atleast give a few days with bionic before tiers. Here's to wishful thinking.
