Root Bionix 1.4 Black Butter is out and IS WICKED FAST

I reconditioned the battery. Just charged it back up to full, then even though people say not too, I enabled profiles with SETCPU and its now 10:10 and my batter is at 96% after being unplugged since 830

I am going to run the 1.7 with JI2 today and then run the JI6 tomorrow and see how much they changed
 
im rolling 1.7 dragons with the JI2 modem. best of both worlds. insane speed and the longest battery life ive ever seen. im on 19hrs running on one battery charge.
 
I uninstalled my ZEAM launcher and it made a HUGE diffrence. I am also running 1.7 JI2 so I am pretty happy all around

You uninstalled Zeam? It's been getting a lot of accolades from folks at xda. What kind of a difference do you see? Battery life, speed?

I've been using it for a week or so now and it seems fine. Not really sure if battery life is better though.

Oh yeah...Bionix 1.8 is out, though you likely already know. And I was able to install Voodoo for the first time. Stupid fast...I like it. :)
 
I really like ZEAM, but it was killing my battery I think. I uninstalled it and battery seems much better. Even after a perfect recondition. I installed 1.8 and I am going to give it another shot. I love the scrollable dock ZEAM offers

Who really knows what is causing the battery issue, sometimes its good sometimes it bad

Part of the fun is always experementing
 
I flashed 1.8 and I have to say its fast but I got better reception with the past 3 builds. I even flashed the JI6 modem over 1.8 and still the signal is still weak. I did the voodoo version again... now I just have to remember to disable it for the next build lol... last time I bricked my phone and got to know odin very well haha.
 
no crap! damn! I will look at it... if its worth my time I will flash it... damn voodoo is a PITA lol.

im glad we have someone who is so dedicated to this phone though. if I had money to donate his way I would, he definitely deserves it!
 
its funny I was sitting there last night thinking.... you know I should wait to flash till tomorrow... LOL

1.9.1 works flawlessly... fast stock JI6 build... SMS/MMS works and its super fast. No bugs so far that I can tell.

I'm running 1.9.1 with JAC's kernel and Voodoo...it's wonderful! BUT...Bionix Fusion should be out today...oh no! Another flash to be done?! Perhaps...but I might actually hesitate this time, since my phone is so happy right now. :)
 
Yeah I am running 1.9.1 with VooDoo and couldnt be happier. Wish I could figure out the battery though. Man its bugging me

Reconditioned twice and its still eractic. No widgets, no nothing running unplugged this morning at 6am. Had 100 percent battery for 2 hours, then in the next 30 minutes it went to 90, this was all standby so I dont know what the heck is going on

Yeah I was going to wait for it but I needed an MMS client to actually work... I prefer the stock twiz sms/mms. I was also having some other minor issues with 1.8 so I went ahead and jumped to 1.9.1 for now... its running so good I may wait for the second fusion build.

odd I unplugged last night at 7:30pm... its now 9:30am and Im at 36%... that is with some Facebook app use, used web also for about 45-1 hour. and had wifi on all night as well as updates turned on. I did have it set to edge only due to having wifi. I will update this post when I drain to 0%.

i flashed mine to 1.9.1 with stock kernel but how's ur quadrant score? mine is just little bit above galaxy s i thought it was going to be better than that... i reconditioned my battery but i'm not getting as good as battery life with just regular stock JI6 build by samsung than 1.9.1 should i recondition my battery again? do i have to install lagfix in order for me to get better quadrant score? it's just tiny little bit above the original galaxy s

quadrant is not a great benchmark when running no lag fix... I would recommend flashing the voodoo version of bionix with the 1.2ghz kernel if your looking for raw speed then run quadrant and compare that to your own stock score. Trust me... it dosent get smoother or faster than that setup.

as for the battery... the power savings are minimal but still existent.

but what does voodoo do to ur phone? (sorry for a noob question)
 
not at all... on the bionix link given at the top of this thread... there is step by step instructions... it is very simple to disable voodoo... you just have to remember to do it! lol

man thanks for your quick replies!! :D i'm going to give it a try (i'm going to back up all my apps and data first with titanium backup) should i charge the battery fully first?? (sorry for these lame questions)
