Root Bionx (Project Closed)

Biotic

Android Expert
Catalyst project was closed for the Spectrum as i came to realize this device sucks as it pretty much gave out on me to no exstent. Basically became a non-powering paper weight so, i sold it.

However, those who support Bionx can now download the Bionx Dashboard on Google play =D

I wil also be starting an aosp project soon which will have spectrum support.

i will stil help out with u guys as much as possible. feel free to pm me with any concerns, problems, or assistance with rim developmwnt or application development. Or if your a dev and looking for a new project to join mine.

cyah around!

Best regards

Thanks Biotic! I'm excited to see what this rom looks like and am going to check the page out.

So been using my spectrum as my active device this week on stock ICS looking at cons and pros of the software. Basically prepping myself for project "Hint Hint"
However I do have a heavy schedule but promised, i will be rolling out a rom.

If there are any devs here wanting to start a new project and buddy up with me, that be awesome from my end. Looking for devs who have experience in app development, xml coding, kernel development, smali hard coding, and compilation experience, and maybe porting skills. Use of the android kitchen doesnt count o.0

Pm me if your enterested

Rom: Bionx Nx S
ETA: Unknown
Source: stock 4.0.4

Nice! I'm glad to see so much development going on! Its cool to see everyones different ideas in the roms they create. I'm definitely looking forward to it biotic!

Im pretty pumped myself but again, a challenge. competing against cyanogen roms, eclipse, and our local roms.
Our goal on Bionx is unique and different but filled with power and advancement.

Any local devs are welcomed to contribute as I have to manage the Razr build at the same time and make sure their pretty comparable.

Im working on a toolkit at the moment, without it, the rom will be pointless. I was pushing the rom for the razr first but with the jellybean release, i lost root so im waiting for a root method so in turn, the sequel of my Bionx Nx rom "Catalyst" will be released first for the Spectrum. But I have to build something thats cross capadible at the same time so hang tight. I do have a toolkit as of now for the previous builds but its time for something new for users who have previously used my romz.

Remember the Velocity rom for the Lg Ally? 6 month breaks for updates, and we recieved the best. I work at the same paste and expect the best for my users. ofcourse its no 6 months for a first release, just no ETA with one dev working on a top project.

I usually build off of aosp because i rather take credit for something rather than thank someone else for a feature "for instance cm9/10, all the features i wouldnt be responsible for so why a toolkit?"

Good to hear from you. I can't wait to try your ROM. Are you going to base it off of jellybean aosp?

Did you get aosp going yet? I can post my files on github to start you off. Maybe you can figure out the front camera issue... ;)

I was working on aosp but lost my internet service peovider last week and Straight talks 3g cant handle a repo ;)
I was just going off cm10 as a base but it would probably be easier off a repo lol.

I can probably get you access to a remote build box. That would take care of the bandwidth issue. Shoot me a PM.

even when you're not kicking ass and taking names later lol ie rolling out cm or aokp, you're still improving development by doing stuff like this! you the man tdm

I was thinking the same thing but didn't want to give him anymore praise because his head might swell to a size which might look funny in public. :-P

Screenshots of the Bionx Dashboard V2 beta. This toolkit now powers Bionx Nx and without it, its just another rom ;)

Its not the rom itself im worried about its the features id like users to have immediately available to them.

where are all the roms you claimed to have ported and were going to release once data was working on cm9? Well we got cm10 now and still no ports?

First off I said I got Paranoid working but I don't have data working on it. I may have said I'll have it released with working data but I had never expected the data fix to get in my way of porting. Here's the issue I'm running into with CM9, the framework has some files inside in that have the data fix therefor effecting the port. I'll have to open it up each time to get the fix. I'm still working on it. The issue with CM10 is the fact it can be flashed with 3 different phones. This makes ports not boot at all. TDM is helping me on the issue with how to get it working. Trust me, if I had a Rom that was booting / data. It'd be posted less then 30 minutes from success. I got Touchwiz semi working. 4G LTE pops up on first boot but going through the activation it wont let me pass it and says activation failed.

I've been trying a lot. When I first got this phone I thought it'd be easier on porting. Just the fixes and other things get in the way ( Not blaming devs at all ) .

If you think you can do it be my guest.

:goodnight:

Well you aren't exactly telling the truth there. You told me last fall in the irc chat that you had 3 roms ported and were just waiting for data to be working on cm9 and that tdm had told you not to release anything until then. Remember me saying to you what does tdm have to do with you releasing roms? Anyway, It's not important and I was just curious what happened to all these rom ports I heard so much about in irc months ago. You were kind of cocky and arrogant about the whole thing. But believe me, I hope you get them going.

:stupid: I can't have data on my Roms if his cm9 doesn't. lol. His rom is my base.

features WIP as of now
-root browser (high priority)
-more actionbar buttons/settings
-active links in the about rom section (high priority)
-custom tethering/hotspot options
-custom dsp management/options
-high quality wallpaper chooser (high priority)
-application lag killer (high priority)
-system memory partition viewer

-Note-
Working on getting an pure aosp rom up and running for Bionx Nx however if time doesnt allow for my expected release, cm10 will be its base but heavily modified for my purposes.
