From my understanding of root, thats not possible unless you use your root priveledges to tamper with files at a higher level. See all root does is grant you "su", thats "superuser" access to the "root" folder of your device. "root" is symbolized with "/" and nothing behind it. Basically you can see and manipulate EVERYTHING. But if you dont manipulate anything, nothing changes. What else have you done to your phone? what apps do you have that has ever said "x has been granted superuser permission"? without an app doing that root is useless for most people. rooting is the same as gaining root acess in a linux machine. There is a reason why they have a userspace seperate from the critical areas that make the system work, blocked without su. I am ranting so ill just say all this info is meant to help you better understand what you are doing so you can possibly determine what is going on yourself. Its half the fun of rooting and rom flashing. If you dont understand root permissions on a unix box you shouldnt be rooting a device without a one-click-method especially since there is no custom recovery or roms just a few advanced apps that may be useful. cheers
