Can anyone give me a solution as to what caused this to happen.
I have a six week old xperia Z which has been performing perfectly fine. One day the other week whilst out and about the battery went from about 94% down to zero in a period of about two minutes.
I had checked emails and sent a text then put the phone in my pocket. a few minutes later I took it out again and it was dead. The phone was about 100 degrees and stayed hot to the touch for about six hours.
It was not till I got home a good few hours later that I could recharge it. and since it has seemed fine.
What could cause a catastrophic battery discharge from nearly full to zero within a few minutes. could the battery be faulty, or could it just be a one off event that is unlikely to happen again.
any idea what may have caused this to happen would be appreciated.
