Help Black background

How do I switch the contact list, call screen etc to black background.

Anyone? I know it's a noob question but u am a noob.

It's not in the settings for those system apps, so there's no easy way. I set this things I can to dark background, and just live with the rest.

On other phones forums, I have seen discussion of flashing inverted G-apps to get black background in some of the built in apps, but I don't know much about it and not sure if it applies to GS4

Cause ny friends note 3 has black contacts and phone screen

Mine was black out of the box. I know that isn't much help but it clearly is possible on some S4s.

How do I switch the contact list, call screen etc to black background.

Sounds like your on a Google Edition ROM.
You will either have to root it and flash a custom GE ROM with this feature.
Or flash a Samsung ROM, all of which have dark background contacts app.

I use the Dialer One app which has a dark background.
