Are the discounts only for new customers?

I'm planning on buying the LG Optimus S, if it's only for new customers then no need to keep torturing myself to the horrid wait.
 
Best Buy has the Optimus S for $1 for new and upgrade customers. Personally I'd try to get it free from Radio Shack first. Do you know how crazy Best Buy is on Black Friday! And to need someone to help you and activate your phone and everything? I don't think so!
 
If you can find a Wal-Mart that has the phone, they are offering a $100 gift card with the purchase of any contract smartphone (LG, Samsung, Blackberry, Motorola) until the 25th.

Excluding the iPhone of course, but who would want one of those.

I'd go to RadioShack, but the Optimus is not on their website. :(

My local Radioshack didn't have it, despite it being on the front page of the circular last week. I'd advise you call in advance.
 
I live in a small town and yesterday went to our local Radio Shack. They had the LG Optimus S in stock, so I signed up for a new line of service. Total up-front cost was ZERO. No Activation Fees, Sales Tax...

What a Deal. and it isn't even Good Friday yet. :D
 
I had an Evo, but I added 3 Optimus S to my account for my kids today.

Wal-Mart has the phone on sale for $1 (new line or upgrade) and you get a $100 gift card.

Basically, for three bucks, I got 3 new smart phones and $300 in gift cards to use on FRI to get myself a new LED TV !
 
Wow Walmart's deal is amazing. I got my Optimus for free at Radio Shack. But it would have been nice to get the $100 Walmart gift card...
 
Hmm is Best Buy's price match policy for 30 days? If the $1 Optimus is just a part of their weekend sale I wonder if I could walk in there Friday afternoon or on Saturday and have them price match the Optimus, as I paid $50 for it 2 weeks ago there.

Yes it is. You should be able to do that with no problems!
 
Got my Optimus yesterday, at sprint store, free with a 100 dollars rebate, only paid 19 dollars in taxes and the hard case got a 20 % discount. Not bad, also Best Buys has it with out waiting for the rebate, but I did not want it to fight the crows...
The deal will last thru Sunday the 28th.
Best phone so far, using my hot spot already with my netbook, download quick settings from the market, I loved!!!
 
Just to let you know. You can order it free online thru Sprint new or renewal with no mail in rebate. I did a renewal and it cost me nothing. The Walmart deal is really good as long as you're not with a sero plan. If you go to the store they want you to do the $100 MIR so if don't mind waiting just a few days and need the money like I do for Christmas. Walmart and Sprint is probably your best bet!
 
I bought mine on Black Friday (online) and it was delivered yesterday. Had to pay $25 and some change in taxes though. So in a way, the phone was free.
 
decided to just order thru sprint. got all the fees waived! plus i ordered it yesterday at noon, and it on the truck to be delivered today! thats fast!

cant wait to get it!
