Root Black Gmail mod

Is there a mod or way to turn the gmail app black instead of white like there is for the messenger app?

I'm using an app called 'gmail notifier' apart from using custom notifiers and showing the amount of unread mails on your desktop icon (which is why I got it) it also allows you to use custom icons.

Not sure if that's any good.

I think he means from within the app itself.
