Hhhmm, i tried it this morning and it work perfectly, I'll see into it today after work

Edit: Actually, i think i might know what's wrong, i think i used the deodexed apk lol

Edit 2: No wait, i remember trying it on my brothers motion also, he was on stock rom with root and it worked

Just a thought, it might not be a bad idea to make a flashable zip with the original systemui.apk, and call it the "Lime Green Uninstall" flashable zip to make it easier for people to switch back to the normal UI colors if they feel like they no longer like the colors.

Just a thought.
