First off, did you make a back-up???? If so, pull the battery and reinstall it. hold the "X" button on the keyboard and power on the phone. keep the X pressed till you see the "M" that shoul get you into recovery. using the volume up/down keys to move, and the camera button to select. and the power button to "go back" select "wipe data/factory reset" select yes. after that is done select "Backup and Restore" > "Restore" select the backup you wish to go to and let it do its thing. when its done it will say "Restore complete" hit the power button till you have "Reboot system now" in the top position of the menu and select it. that should get you back to where you were before.
Edit: just noticed, are you sure you chose a Smoked Glass Rom or was it a Smoked Glass Theme?? there is a big difference. Themes are writen for specific rom most of the time and will cause issues like you have when applied to an incompatable ROM. just wondering.
Ok, sounds like you lost your customer recovery. hmmm. well you could try this..... go here >> http://androidforums.com/droid-x-all-things-root/254605-update-2-3-340-easily.html and download Materstocks file to the root of your SD card and rename it just "update.zip" and go into recovery and apply update.zip. if you have no mean of getting the file onto you SD card, you will have to use RSD Lite and an SBF file. find the SBF and instructions in here. http://androidforums.com/droid-x-al...oot-guide-updated-feb-28-5-10-pm-eastern.html
just to make sure... does this work on the original motorola droid, as in the droid #1?
LOL, so sorry!!, I have an X also, and I was in X mode. Hang on....
Ok, sense you have a basic stock recovery, probably the easiest way to get you back to stock and booting would be to use RSD Lite and flash it back to stock, then start all over. you can do that by following this guide >> How to revert back to Stock 2.0, 2.0.1, 2.1, or 2.2 In this post >>
