Root Black Screen, maybe bricked. Help!

Hey guys, I've tried asking for help on the XDA forum & they don't really want to be helpful at all so I'm trying here.

Basically I'm onto the ADB part of fixing my phone. When I type ADB Devices, it basically says...

List of attatched devices;

And there is nothing there at all.

I've tried install the latest HTC Sync, and that doesn't seem to work either.

Can anyone help?

You may need to install the hboot drivers. You can get them from the rooting guide in the "all about rooting" sticky

How did you brick it?

I had it rooted, then in the past few days its started rebooting on its own & then not fully booting back up. So I got tired of this & tried flashing it with a stock RUU which was a bad idea really because that's what bricked it.

So I had a look round on the net, and people were saying something about a gold card? And formatting your SD card which I've done. Then I saw that I have to do this ADB thing to get it working again. Now I'm stuck on the ADB part with the devices in the CMD not showing up.

Thanks for the quick reply btw, much appreciated!

What RUU was it? Do you have a software version? It's unlikely you can use an RUU to get an slcd brick now as only old RUUs don't support slcd and it shouldn't let you go backwards bootloader and android version wise.

Can you see any screens at all or not?

No mate its just totally black. I know that it's turned on though because when I press the power button, it vibrates.

Not sure what the RUU was, but it wasnt the one I shouldve used. I'm new when it comes to this stuff.

What was your original software version before rooting? What network are you on? What country are you in? Any information you can give me?

This is the latest TMO uk I can find:

Shipped ROMs

You will need to pull the battery out to ensure it is off. Hold Back and press power to get to fastboot. When you feel it vibrate, give it a few seconds and plug the usb in. If you hear the noise for usb connection, run the RUU to see if it works.

Ok I'll give it a shot, thanks mate.

Did it run all the way through the process? Did it give any errors or anything? What was the Output?
