Help Blackberry Convert question

Just picked this up two days ago....my only concern is that there doesn't seem to be a way to set up a flashing notification for a missed message/call....I can see what looks to be two LEDs on the top left above the screen, but have found no way to make them blink to indicate a missed call/text/email/etc.....Is this possible?

Those are light sensors, not LED's. I do believe that the Vortex is sans LED's so there's no way to have a flashing notification. You should be able to substitute that though with vibrating notifications instead, if it suits you. I guess they figured this phone was too basic for even LED's *shrugs*

Wow, that sucks to say the least....no apps or anything to do a work around? I see patients in an office setting and liked being able to just glance at my Blackberry to see if I had a message waiting in lieu of actually picking up the phone and checking....

Didn't want to start a new thread, but I have another stupid question.....does the default music player have an EQ? It sounds horrible through the headphone jack on both headphones and decent desktop speakers. If not, would Winamp be the way to go on this?

You can't really make an app that would install an LED on a phone lol.

As I said, you should be able to make it vibrate every few minutes or whatever to remind you that you have a missed call. That should work just fine as long as it's in a pocket or something.

Yeah, I should have been clearer...I thought maybe there was an app out there that could make the actual screen blink (or something) when there was no other option.

FlyBlue.... totally hear you on the blinking notification. I just switched over yesterday from a blackberry and it was nice to glance at the phone sitting on a table and know if there were any messages without touching it.
