Is there an app than can allow you to talk to contacts like BBM? and that you can also add BBM contacts to?

Google Talk is the closest thing to Blackberry Messenger. You cannot add BBM contacts to messenger but there is a google Talk app for blackberrys so you can tell people with BBs to download it

Yes, Google Talk can't be used w/o a Google account. It takes a few seconds to set up.

Well if you have an Android phone, you most likely have a Gmail account since it's pretty much necessary to set up the phone with. That means more people with GTalk, which means Google can work on making it the best msging app.

I do seriously miss BBM though, coming from a Tour...

i came from BB as well - and its the only thing i miss, that BBM.

There is KiK - just each phone must have the app installed. But it can be installed ony many BB's and other phones.

have got google talk on the go, now just trying to persuade all my old bbm contacts to get a gmail account and gtalk them im away!! it wont be long till everybodies on it im sure.
