Blackberry Ringtones/Notifications/Alarms...get 'em while they're hot!

New Droid user... just got the Revolution from Verizon. I've been using the Blackberry Bold with OS 6. I downloaded the BB tones from the link above but those are for the older OS I believe.... anyway of finding the newer ones? I'm a horrible Googler... I suck at searching for stuff online.

Looking for the 'Confidence' alert mostly but all of the tones from OS6 would be great!

Any help is greatly appriciated! :)

thanks dude! What a great find.

One question though, I am having a hard time locating the default notifier *ding* on the blackberry inside the zip file. Can you lead me to the right one?

I'm sorry for the noob question, but i really miss that notifier. It's the short *ding* almost *ping* from blackberry messenger whenever you get a message.

Any chance you can direct me to the right sound file or upload that one as well?

Much thanks in advance!

Thank U So Much :-D. I Knew I Couldn't B The Only One Who Missed & Wanted Their BB Sounds Back! I'm Very Happy Now. I'm Not Good With This Kind Of Stuff Though So Need A Little Help. I Downloaded Astro & Was Able To Long Press The File For The Sound I Wanted & Was Given The Option To "Set As Ringtone" & That Worked, But I Cannot Figure Out How To Set The Text Notification. The Drop Down List Didn't Change, It Still Just Has The Original Choices. I Don't Understand All The Previous Stuff That Was Suggested. Maybe Someone Could "Dumb Down" The Instructions For Me. Thanx! :)

Nevermind I Actually Figured It Out. Now I Just Need To Try To Edit It So The Ringer Is Not So Fast And Maybe Loop The Txt Notification Just Bc I Like It So Much

I have these downloaded to my phone. Now, how do you add them to the phones' ringtone/notification list?

I Downloaded Astro File Mngr From App Market, As Previously Suggested By Someone In Earlier Post, Then Clicked The Original Link With File For The BB Sounds Provided In Original Post. Open The Download In Astro, It Should Just Be An Option When U Open It. When U Find The Tone U Want, Press And Hold, Select Edit Then Copy. Then Click "Home" On The Menu Across The Top, Find The "Media" File, Click It, Click Audio, Then U Can Choose To Paste Your Tone In "Notifications" Or Ringtones. Then Go Back To Change Your Settings And U Will Find The New Tones On Your Drop Down List!

Hi There - I might have the "ding" you're looking for.. can you look up the name on your BB? When I put these on my droid, they aren't loud enough.. Also - when they're on the SD card - there is weird behavior if you plug your phone into your computer - but I guess you can work around this.. If you PM me - I can get you that tone, if I have the one you're looking for. Does anybody know if a "ring tone APP" for Droid - where it would have more "normal" type ring tond that wouldn't be affected with the SD card in use issue? Thanks Much

I think I wrote "too much" above.. There are ringtone from the BB Tour that weren't in the great 55 that you folks got. Can anyone get them for me or tell me how? These are the ones I'd really like: BBRelaxed_Gong; BBPro_Sanguine; BBPro_Confirm
Thanks very much.

hi im a noob here but still have my bb and am looking for the same old notifications as you are, did u happen to find them and if so would u mind emailing them to me please

at jim.couch@everus.ca

I emailed you the three I have - Gong, Confirm and Sanguine. As noted above they (not counting the gong) are not very loud - and they're on the SD card. I would still like to know of a "ring tone" app that isn't affected by the SD card and that has some reasonably "normal" and loud enough sounds.. The Droid standard ones are kind of crappy and not loud enough..
Thanks.

Thank you,
I was really missing my bb tones and alarms. I agree with the poster about the lame android tones.

How so I get these to my android phone (moto droid x2). I really want to set antelope for my alarm.

Thank you.

WOW! I have been looking for these ring tones.

Can someone explain how to get them on the BB 9790,any help would be greatly appreciated........I'm not very computer savvy.

As someone who has owned a Blackberry since the RIM 950's, My ear had already become adapted to certain tones and I knew I did not have to look at my phone...I am still in "transition" to my Samsung Stratosphere and I was just about to see how I could get the ol' reliables off my old curve...much appreciated...too bad Blackberry went the way of VHS...

Something only a previous owner of a BB will understand, and maybe not even most of them. ;)

For those of you who came from the BB world and are missing your BB ringtones, notifications, etc. I found this on Pinstack, posted over a year ago. For some odd reason I found I was jonesing for my old BB notification sounds, and am very happy to get them back... :)

Copied them into my SD card into the following folders...not sure this matters to the Droid, but I wanted to keep them organized.

Notifications (Notifications)
Ringtones (Ringtones and tunes)
Alarms (Alarms)

Enjoy. :D
Thank you so much.....now if I could find a way to have the bberry keyboard AND BBM on my Galaxy Nexus, mama would be happy!!

After lots of resistance, I finally got an android yesterday. It didn't take me long at all to miss my BB ring and text tones.

Thanks a bunch for posting this!!!

I like my new Razr M, but really missed the easy of my old BB Torch. Thanks to all who provided suggestions and help to make my Droid more familiar. Great site!
