Will be interesting to see if enough diehard BB fans will go for the new hardware and platform while Android is on a steam rolling spree. One things for sure, if BB and its intended market arn't up to the challenge, this will be pretty much the end of the crackberry era.

The Z10 looks kinda nice, but it's a bit bezel-tastic to my eyes - by this year's standards the screen seems a bit small for the size of the handset.

After reading a comprehensive review of the OS and the Z10, it is nothing special. The Z10 is spec wise on par with a mid tier android phone and BB10 looks like a wanna-be android

I still miss my BB days, though. Had to go Android of course once I saw what this is all about, 3 years or so ago. ;)

But, yes.. my Pearl and my other 'berries were a part of me for a long time.

I admit to maybe getting a third line for the one with the keyboard if Verizon sports it pretty soon. :D

Definitely think the OS seems to have improved a bit but those phones are dire, put that next to a windows phone, One X+ or S3, an iPhone 5 and it looks like crap tbh.. then there's the price, it's going to retail simfree in this country for

It might capture a bit of a nostalgia based fan crew. Nothing like its former years ago dominance, of course. Unless they have something else up their sleeve..

RIM needs to be purchased by Apple. Then Apple can offer some tech plus the whole fruit thing would fit in. Apples and berries. :D

:D

They should just license their software and BB services out, sell their patents and they would make a bomb.. imagine an HTC phone running BB now that would do well.

Really think the os could do with perfecting and other than that the specs are ok maybe better depending who makes the processor.

I think the Z10 looks really good - it looks a lot more high end than it's spec suggests .. but I agree it's seriously over-priced, SIM free. No way is it worth just

Well judging by their stock yesterday, investors weren't impressed. Considering those guys are among Blackberry's biggest fans, not putting out much hope for a return.

If Apple purchases BB, then they'd go on a suing spree.

Anyway, BB10 at least brings it close to other OS's to be considered. I don't think there is anything mind blowing that would make me want to get one. BB10 will make it appealing to current BB users who would otherwise switch to another OS. It is different enough being a messaging centric OS that someone open to any OS may consider it. It has different strenghts than other OS's. I think that BB10 is enough to stop the bleeding.

There are supposed to be 6 BB devices released throughout 2013. For people criticising the size of the Z10, I expect to see something that will appeal to people wanting a larger screen. If they ever come out with a landscape keyboard slider, it may even pique my interest.
