Help Blank screen when making a call?

Hya, im just wondering if anyone else has had this issue. Why i try to make a phone call with my xperia play my screen goes blank and doesnt respond to anything, so i have to either take the battery out to end the call or get the other person to. ALTHOUGH this is more of a problem when i have an answer phone message since i cant get to the dial pad i cant listen to it.

my phone does this, when i put it to my ear it goes blank, when i take it away to end the call it stays blak for a few second then the phone come back on, somtimes i have to shake it, but it works haha

Genius! The shaking does work lol ty (oki it did for a moment ah well)

I had this annoying problem for a while, its when the rectangle sensor above and to the right of the SE logo gets covered by a screen protector. After i carefully cut a small hole in mine i have never had this problem again! Try it out, its a defo fix

Tried it out this morning and it works a treat =] i was able to get to my answer phone no problem =] i would never have thought it was the sensor, ty
