Help Blinking Capacitive Button Lights

Hey everyone,

Since I've had my Incredible, the buttons sometimes flash after I lock/sleep the phone (the top button.) It doesn't happen at certain times or having run certain apps. After I lock the phone, I will notice every few seconds the buttons blink. And then they flash every few seconds until I unlock the phone. (The buttons are the Home, Menu, Back, and Search)

Has anyone experienced this? And if so, any fixes short of restoring the phone? Thanks.

P.S.--I've searched for an answer, but couldn't find anything related.

Both mine and my wife's DI have done this. Except I haven't seen it happen lately. I recall that it happened after the screen goes blank. And they will flash at random intervals. I've never heard anyone else complain about this...until now.

Well shucks, I hope it didn't come off as complaining. It's more confusion than anything else.

I can't reproduce the symptoms on mine right now. But perhaps we have something in common:

Droid Incredible AMOLED
SkyRaider Athena 1.2 ROM
Chad's 2.6.32.27 | LauncherPro Plus
CMR 2.5.1.8 | HBoot 0.92 | s-off
EVO Radio 2.15.00.11.19

My wife's phone has the same config as mine.

The lights on my Incredible flash sometimes as well. It seems to occur when I let the screen go dark by itself, when I wake up the phone and then turn it right back off the lights stop blinking. Also it doesn't do this all the time. It's not an alert or alarm either as I don't have any calendar entries that are alerting me when it happens. Any ideas out there? Just an annoyance but yet another one with this phone.

Did anyone ever figure this out? Mine's doing the same thing. Plays mind games with me when I lay it on the table locked and the lights flash in the corner of my eye.

I have an unrooted incredible with no roms or launchers and mine tends to do this sometimes also. Perhaps it has something to do with the light sensor not shutting down correctly, but I have no idea why it does it to be honest. It doesn't happen very often though.
